Our mission is to leverage community support to empower researchers from underrepresented backgrounds. Support is provided in the form of microgrants from donors which are used to fund expendable research supplies. When expendables are covered by funds raised on D. I. Grantase, grants from traditional sources of funding can go further. We also aim to make research more accessible to the public, to keep the public engaged with the world of research, and to foster lasting relationships between researchers and the public.
